Common Questions
How does the welding process work?
We use a small, handheld pulse welder to fuse the chain ends together directly on your wrist, ankle, or neck. The weld takes only a second, produces no heat on your skin, and requires no clasp, the result is a seamless and custom-fit piece made just for you.
What metals do you use? Are they safe for sensitive skin?
We use 14k gold-filled and sterling silver chains. These materials are nickel-free and generally well-tolerated by people with metal sensitivities. If you have a known allergy to a specific metal, please let us know when you book so we can help you choose the best option for your skin.
What if I need it removed for an MRI or medical procedure?
Your piece can be cut off with standard scissors or small wire cutters, the same way you would remove any delicate chain. Always follow your medical provider's instructions regarding jewelry before any procedure. If you'd like the piece re-applied after your appointment, we're happy to help with a new weld!
What happens if my piece breaks?
Accidental breaks do happen. Bring your piece to your next appointment and we can re-weld it for you. Repair pricing varies depending on the piece; contact us for details.
How do you ensure hygiene and sterilization?
We sanitize all tools and work surfaces between each client. Single-use components are never reused. Our welder tip does not contact your skin during the process, minimizing any risk of cross-contamination.

GOLD FILLED JEWELRY & STERLING SILVER JEWELRY
Gold filled pieces can still tarnish, but it takes special circumstances for that to happen.
CLEANING
The oils from your skin transfer to the metal and need to be washed off periodically. To clean gold filled jewelry without scrubbing or scratching it (which would lead to tarnishing) use an untreated cloth or mild soapy water.
Please make note of these tips on how to care for your jewels to make sure they last as long as possible:
- Avoid tangling or tossing your jewelry in your purse as this will often lead to a knotty mess.
- Avoid wearing your jewelry during any strenuous physical activity.
- Avoid direct contact with chemicals such as perfume or hairspray.
REPAIRS
We take pride in the quality of our work, and with proper care, your jewelry should last you for many years. However, jewelry is by no means indestructible.
It’s rare, but accidents happen! We are happy to accept repairs within 30 days of purchase. Fees may apply, so please email us at Shop@fireandhoneyjewelry.com with your name, order number, and photos/details prior to sending your item so that we can notify you of the cost of your repair.
Any repairs outside the 90 day window will be reviewed case by case. Please email us with a photo of the damage and we will determine if the item is eligible for a repair.

Handmade designs are available to ship within 8-10 business days (Monday-Friday) of order placement via USPS with delivery confirmation, and we'll send you a shipment notification email with a tracking number, as soon as your order goes out. Please note, this may take longer during promotional sale periods and we do not ship on weekends or holidays.
Shipping on domestic orders is $4.50; orders over $75 is free.
Domestic orders over $100, may require a signature upon delivery.
International shipping is a flat rate of $18.00, unless the order is over $100.00

Fire and Honey Jewelry is not liable for lost or stolen packages. If your package goes missing, we will contact our shipping carrier to track the delivery information, but we cannot be held responsible if an order shows confirmed delivery to the correct address.

We do not accept returns on jewelry orders, as all of our jewelry is handmade to order. However, we are more than happy to provide exchanges or store credit!

Keep in mind that exchanges must be done within 14 days of receiving your order. Exchanged items must be unworn. Please allow up to 5 business days for processing of exchanged orders.
All sale items and custom jewelry orders are final.
All of our pre-order styles are made to order. Once your pre-order is paid, production then begins on your individual jewelry. As we are making these pieces just for you, pre-orders are not eligible for refund. In the case of any cancellation or return of a pre-order style, Fire and Honey Jewelry can offer store credit only.
Promo codes and discount codes will not be applied to orders that have been processed and/or on previous orders.
Please note that pieces that are made with natural stones, know that size, shape and color may vary.
